Pricing and Session Info

There are a number of different ways to price a photography service, and I’ve tried them all. Some folks charge a session fee and a minimum product purchase, some strictly charge licensing fees. My preference is a flat-rate. In my experience, 90% of the time it works every time :P

The flat-rate includes fully retouched, high-resolution JPEG files delivered securely online. Prints and other merchandise can be purchased à la carte from the gallery page at any time.

My fee is based on my minimum expenses to operate my equipment (subscriptions, typical administrative expenses, and insurance among others) as well as the market. Here in the creative town of Austin, the market is pretty saturated, which makes it difficult to gauge sometimes. If you have a concern with my pricing structure, I’m happy to discuss it. See my current rates below:

  • Outdoor Golden Hour

Ask any photographer when the best time of the day to photograph a subject is and most will answer “Golden Hour.” The light is pretty and the sun is directional, diffuse, and abundant. A one-hour session is $650 and a 30-minute session is $450.

  • Indoor

Sometimes folks want to make their portrait in their favorite room, or sometimes it’s just too hot outside. If an indoor session is more appealing for any reason, let’s discuss! A one-hour session is $650 and a 30-minute session is $450. If we decide to rent an indoor space, additional fees as applicable.

  • Special Projects

I photographed corporate events and weddings for ten years, marketing and branding projects for twelve years, and I love to photograph automobiles. While those are not my focus, I always enjoy a fun and challenging adventure. If you’ve got a special project, I would absolutely love to hear about it! Pricing quoted.
